That was stupid
While working on the kitchen, I broke one of the many rules of dealing with a blade -- never point it at yourself. I cut a nice clean cut in the meaty part of my hand below the thumb with a box knife. I cleaned it out, then nearly passed out. Once I got through the shock, I drove myself to the urgent care facility clutching a kitchen towel.

Ten stitches, a tetanus shot, and two prescriptions later, I'm home feeling stupid.
.:.
Ow, ow, ow! I'm sorry about that, and impressed that you managed to stay conscious, knowing you and us queasy folk you're related to. I'm sure you'll not be doing anything like this any time soon, but do remember that there are a number of us around for transport to emergency centers. Remember Marvin's tale of driving while fainty.

Tell the girls they don't have to "call on you" even though you're holding your hand up.

And take care. No skateboarding. :-)

Last time I took a knife cut to the emergency place, expecting stitches they used a couple butterfly bandaids and that worked OK. NJR

I asked about the glue and tape that they can use these days, but he said since it's on my hand there would be way too much motion, and it needed real stitches.

I counted that this is the eighth (that I could recollect) time I've had stitches in my life, compared to Amy's zero.

I don't know whether you remain the family record-holder in the stitches department since Carmen started trying to catch up with you, but you started young and apparently haven't given up yet.

Is Myles still tied with Amy at zero?

Don't feel stupid, accidents happen.

Feel stupid if you TRIED to be your own DOCTOR and end up with an INFECTION !!!
