We're in contract to buy a house on our street. It's the same floorplan as our rental, with a smaller front yard and a larger, sunnier back yard. It's a short sale, and so may take longer to close, but we're hopeful that we'll take possession in July. I'm looking forward to painting the rooms pastel colors and planting a tropical garden.
The neighborhood picnic last weekend sealed the deal. We gathered in the pavilion at the tennis courts, and everyone brought a dish. We had so much fun, and all our neighbors kept telling us how much they love our girls and begging us not to move away. We really love it here in Sawgrass, and feel good about making a permanent commitment.
V will continue to travel to NYC for work for the foreseeable future, but hopefully will be able to spend more time here. My mom is looking to buy a house on our street, as well--maybe the one next door to ours. I took the girls to the neighborhood pool for our first swim of the season yesterday. Tori and her friend Madison rode their bikes there. Mom met us there, and she and I swam laps together. The Salt Life is good. |
